Alex Teitelbaum, CPO, LPO-TN

ABC Prosthetist/Orthotist and Clinic Manager, Knoxville, Maryville & Athens

Alex serves as the Manager for Southern Orthocare’s Knoxville and Athens clinics. He received his Master of Science degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He seeks to serve his patients with the highest quality of care in order to help them each achieve the absolute best outcome. Prior to joining Southern Orthocare Alex served a large number of patients in the Nashville area. He is a native Texan and married a Tennessee girl. He is the proud father of a two year-old son and baby girl. In his spare time, he enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family as well as hiking and hunting. Alex is happy to be in East Tennessee, and is looking forward to serving patients in Knoxville, Athens, and the surrounding communities.

Joshua Kenny, CPO, LPO-TN

ABC Prosthetist/Orthotist and Clinic Manager, Morristown & Greeneville

Joshua Kenny serves as the Clinic Manager for Prosthetics & Orthotics for Southern Orthocare's Morristown and Greeneville clinics. He is an ABC Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist and completed his graduate studies in both prosthetics and orthotics at Florida International University in Miami in 2017. Prior to joining Southern Orthocare, Josh served as the Clinic Manager for a Hanger Clinic in Melbourne, FL. He also worked previously as an orthotic technician in Hickory Hills, IL. Josh is passionate about helping every patient reach his or her goals and best outcome. Josh and his wife Taryn are new to Morristown and have 3 cats and a dog. He is looking forward to serving patients in the Lakeway region. In his spare time, Josh likes to spend time outside and listen to live music.

Cassidy Rice, CPO, LPO-TN, LPO-KY

ABC Prosthetist/Orthotist, Morristown and Clinic Manager, Middlesboro

Cassidy is a certified staff Prosthetist/Orthotist with Southern Orthocare and joined the company in 2019. She is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics program, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University where she was a member of the softball team. As a native of Southern Illinois, Cassidy enjoys the opportunity to learn and grow in a new part of the country. She especially loves the opportunity to serve amputees as well as pediatric patients. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages live their “best life”. In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying fit, volunteering and travelling.

Emily Martin, CPO, LPO-TN

ABC Prosthetist/Orthotist and Clinic Manager, Athens

Emily is a recent graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine’s Master’s of Prosthetics and Orthotics program. She completed her 2 year residency in Prosthetics & Orthotics at Southern Orthocare and is now a Licensed Prosthetist/Orthotist and the Manager for our Athens, TN clinic.  She also achieved her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Illinois University. Emily is originally from central Illinois, but is excited to be in East Tennessee with the opportunity to learn and grow in a new part of the country. She is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential both clinically and personally. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, visiting family, and simply enjoying the outdoors.

Linda Johnson, CPed, CFo, LPed-TN/KY, LFo-KY

Pedorthist & Certified Fitter of Orthotics, Morristown, Middlesboro, Greeneville

Linda has been with Southern Orthocare for several years and provides care to hundreds of diabetic patients in East Tennessee and Southeast Kentucky who need diabetic shoes and custom inserts to protect their feet. She is also a Certified Fitter of Orthotics.  Linda has an Associate of Applied Science degree with an emphasis in Computer Networking from Walter State Community College, and also serves as the Safety Officer for Southern Orthocare. She enjoys photography, cross-stitching, reading, and collecting thimbles. Linda is also a cancer survivor. Since battling the disease, she looks at life in a totally different way. She feels blessed to be part of a team where she can help others daily.

Brandon Jones, CPed, CPOA, CFo, LPed-TN

Pedorthist, Prosthetic/Orthotic Assistant & Certified Fitter of Orthotics, Knoxville

Brandon joined Southern Orthocare in 2022 and has over 15 years of experience serving patients in East Tennessee who have orthotic and pedorthic needs.  He has vast knowledge of all types of bracing from “head to toe” with a specialization in foot and ankle bracing.  Also, as a Pedorthist, he serves a large number of patients who need custom foot orthotics as well as diabetic patients seeking shoes and custom inserts that can help protect the diabetic foot.  Brandon is passionate about helping others and takes a personal approach to providing each patient with the highest level of care possible.  In his free time he enjoys spending time with his children outdoors.  They love animals and spend a lot of time at Knoxville Zoo.

Mike Vanek, CTPO, COA

Sr. Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, Morristown, Greeneville & Middlesboro

Mike is a ABC Certified Orthotic and Prosthetic technician as well as a ABC Certified Orthotic Assistant. He has several years of experience in the P&O field since beginning his career working for a Shriners Hospital for Children in 1996. He brings a high level of attention to detail to the Southern Orthocare team, and passionately enjoys helping patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and the great outdoors.

Shannan Cook

Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, Athens

Shannan serves as the Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician for the Athens and Knoxville clinics. She has over 15 years of experience in the industry, specifically working for Fillauer, one of the leading O&P companies in the world. While at Fillauer, Shannan specialized in building upper extremity prosthetics (body powered, electric, and passive) as well as prosthetics for lower limbs. She is passionate about helping people. In her spare time, Shannan loves to spend time – especially outdoors – with her husband, children, and their pets.

Matthew McDonald

Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, Knoxville & Maryville

Matthew has served for nearly a decade as a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician, and has over twelve years in the healthcare field. He is highly skilled at building custom limbs and braces and is working toward becoming a Certified Prosthetic & Orthotic Assistant. Matthew’s daily goal is to provide a high quality products while working hand-in-hand with his team. He desires to always keep patient care and patient satisfaction at the forefront of his work. Outside the office, Matthew has many interests and activities, including motorcycling, three decades as a bassist, photography, serving as an ice hockey official, and most importantly… being a father to the loves of his life… his young twin daughters.

Sara Hill

Orthotic & Pedorthic Technician, Morristown

Sara joined Southern Orthocare in July of 2020 as a Lab Technician and specializes in the fabrication of AFOs as well as diabetic and other custom inserts. She is also responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory management, and other duties. Sara comes from the manufacturing field, with experience in quality control, visual inspection and the use of many different types of machinery and tools. She likes to spend her free time together with family and friends, but mostly enjoys spending time with her young son, the “light of her life.” Her hobbies include crocheting, working puzzles and cooking.

Bobbie Haun

Amputee Advocate

A native of Morristown, Bobby joined Southern Orthocare in 2019 after 32 years as a high school teacher.  He is married to his wife of 42 years, Cindy and is a father of two and grandfather of six.  After losing his leg in 2019, Bobby became a patient of Southern Orthocare.  Soon after, he joined the team as a Patient Advocate and enjoys helping patients with limb loss to find a way forward grounded in hope.  As a Christian, he desires to bring God’s love and encouragement to all patients with whom he consults.
