Sam Searles

Sam recently joined Southern Orthocare in the role of Physician Relations Manager. Sam has served in various functions within the medical field since 2010. She has worked for the last several years with Tennessee Orthopedic Clinic in Knoxville, TN supporting Orthopedic Surgeons in various aspects of patient care. She is highly athletic and has served as a personal trainer. Sam received her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Tusculum College in 2014. Outside of work she enjoys working out, and spending time with her fiancé as well as family and friends.
Bill Barefield, ATC
OTS Orthotics Division Manager
Provider Relations Manager, Morristown, Greeneville & Tri-Cities
Bill joined Southern Orthocare in March of 2022 and serves as the OTS Orthotics Division Manager as well as the Provider Relationship Manager for Morristown, Greeneville and the Tri-Cities. He is a TN Licensed and NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, and has successfully served in pharmaceutical and orthotic sales for over 10 years. Bill has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from ETSU and a Master’s Degree in Education from Clemson. He thrives on building trust with providers and patients, and volunteers at Greeneville High School as an Athletic Trainer and Football Coach. Bill enjoys working out, living a health lifestyle, and spending time with his family.
Cassidy Tipton
Provider Relations Manager, Athens
Cassidy joined Southern Orthocare in January of 2020 as a Physician Relations Manager. She has been in the Health and Wellness field since 2008. Prior to joining Southern Orthocare she worked for two and a half years at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN as an Exercise Specialist, and served as co-chair on the Wellness Council. She understands the vital importance of one’s quality of life, and is excited to help Southern Orthocare patients become the best version of themselves both physically and personally. Cassidy received her Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science from Carson-Newman University in 2012, where she also played softball. Outside of work Cassidy enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter.
